Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection, Raphael Nakacinda, has revealed that the Boreholes have been sank in different parts of the Province.
He says government is working expeditiously to see to it that all have access to clean and safe water which is a Right for all.
Mr. Nakacinda notes that the 500 sank boreholes under the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program and Urban will also give dignity to residents and enhance sanitation in their lives.
He assures that more is being done to see to it that water access points are increased.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nakacinda says strategic places to sink boreholes in the Province are being identified for drilling of more boreholes.
The Minister notes that the difficulties some parts of the Province face in terms of lacking enough underground water will be mitigated once such places are identified and explored.
He says these plans are in addition to the import of water from other parts of the country.
The Minister was speaking in Monze during a tour of water and sanitation infrastructure projects in the District.
