Government has given Western Water and Sewerage Company a two-week ultimatum to address the water reticulation challenge in Nalolo district.
Speaking when he visited the Iron Water Purification tank in Umoyo village, Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection Permanent Secretary Ed Chomba said people of Nalolo should not continue using water with high Iron content.
Dr Chomba said the residents want to see clean and safe water coming from their taps hence the need for the water company to expedite the works.
And Nalolo District Commissioner, Teddy Chimbinde complained of the slow pace at which Western Water and Sewerage Company is executing the works.
Mr Chimbinde called on the Ministry of Water Development to constantly monitor the works if people are to have water in good time.
