Ministry of Water Sanitation and Environmental Protection Permanent Secretary ED Chomba says providing safe drinking water and adequate sanitation remains a priority to government.
Bishop Chomba said this in a speech read on his behalf by Acting Assistant for Sanitation Director Abel Mana’ngi during the launch of the Sanitation Connection Action Plan – SCAP- which will be implemented by Vision Africa Regional Network -VAREN- in Lusaka’s
Bishop Chomba said the ministry is currently implementing two key programmes which are in line with the 7th National Development Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Meanwhile, VAREN Executive Director Jackson Mwenya
said his organization will continue working with government in developing and improving the living standards of citizens.
And Mtendere Ward 30 Councillor Watson Mtonga has thanked government for development taking place in the area.
